Stockton Sharks would like to invite players to trial for our Development & Academy Squads.
Our Development program runs from U9-11 and Academy from 12+
This year the teams being advertised are U10-U13 to trial for our A Graded teams. No U9 Development Squad will be created this year but will return for season 2027. If you are an U9 for season 2026, please feel free to trial for the U10s.
All Girls only squads will be trialled for mid-February 2026 but all other teams listed below are mixed so anyone can trial for them (girls included). The registration costs will be approximately $260 for U10-11 and $290 for U12-13.
Please note, all community teams (non-trialled) for the Stockton Sharks will remain available for registration early in 2026
Training (during the season)
U10-12 – will be one day per week
U13 – will be two days per week
The Under 10 and 11 mixed teams will be entered into InterDistrict Community Grade A (the highest grade, not to be confused with MiniRoos leagues). Aside from JDL, there is no other competition or league they can enter that plays at a higher level.
Under 12 and 13, will be graded at the highest level that we feel the team will be competitive, our expectations are to go into the Community Grade A competition.
We will be running the following dates for the trials at Corroba Oval, due to the inception of the Newcastle Development Squad program, we will run a Sunday trial as to not clash with both nights that the Newcastle program runs. The dates are:
Sunday 23rd November 2025
U10 – 12.30-2pm
U11 & 12 – 2.15-4pm
U13 – 4.15-6pm
Tuesday 25th November 2025
U10 – 4.30pm-5.45pm
U11/12 – 6pm-7.15pm
U13 – 6pm-7.15pm
Goalkeepers – We will be looking for goalkeepers for the U10/11/12 teams only. If you wish to trial as a dedicated goalkeeper only, another date will be arranged but please email
td@stocktonsharksfootball.com to confirm and we will message you directly. If we don’t fill a spot for a particular age group, we will continue the goalkeeping rotation policy that we have used in prior seasons for the U9/10/11 squads where we have a player from another Sharks team play in goal.
You do not need to attend both dates but it would be preferred. If under any extenuating circumstances your child can not make either date of the trials, please contact
td@stocktonsharksfootball.com and this will be considered when selecting the teams.
Please ensure the kids bring a water bottle along with boots and shinpads. We will have numbered bibs to help identify each player so don’t worry what kit they wear.
If you have any questions, please email
